About LARA Mauritius
LARA Mauritius is a private, medically supervised residential wellness retreat located on the north coast of Mauritius. Founded and led by Dr. Siddick Maudarbocus — a physician with over 40 years of clinical experience — LARA offers personalised programmes for mental health, emotional recovery, addiction, and holistic wellbeing. Every programme is built entirely around the individual.
LARA is based at Les Mariannes Wellness Sanctuary, Royal Road, Congomah, in the north of Mauritius. The property is a private beachfront setting on the Indian Ocean, offering complete seclusion and discretion.
Neither. LARA is a private clinical retreat — it combines the medical rigour of supervised healthcare with the comfort and privacy of a luxury residence. You will be cared for by licensed physicians and therapists in a setting of elegance and calm.
Programmes & Treatment
LARA’s programmes are designed for individuals navigating executive burnout, anxiety and chronic stress, trauma and PTSD, depression, grief and loss, addiction and dependency (alcohol, substances, behavioural), sleep disorders, emotional exhaustion, and loss of purpose or direction.
There is no fixed minimum. Programmes are tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Most guests stay between two and eight weeks. During your initial consultation, Dr. Maudarbocus will recommend an appropriate duration based on your clinical picture.
Yes. Our Private Recovery Programme offers discreet, physician-led residential care for alcohol dependency, drug dependency, and behavioural addiction. This is a clinically supervised programme, not simply a detox holiday.
Yes. We welcome accompanying family members and can arrange suitable accommodation and activities for them. Family involvement in the therapeutic process can also be arranged where clinically appropriate. Please raise this during your initial enquiry.

Dr. Maudarbocus or a senior team member will conduct a confidential initial consultation — by phone or video — to understand your situation. We will then outline a personalised programme recommendation and answer any questions you may have.
We aim to accommodate urgent cases within 24–48 hours where possible. Standard admissions can typically be arranged within one to two weeks. Please contact us directly to discuss your timeline.

Privacy & Confidentiality
Absolutely. Your presence at LARA is never disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent. There are no group programmes unless you choose them. Your care, your stay, and your identity are held in complete confidence at all times.
No. LARA operates with total discretion. We do not confirm or deny the presence of any guest to any enquirer, including family members, employers, or media.

Packages & Pricing
The Gold Package includes a private wellness villa, dedicated case manager, full medical examination, individual psychotherapy (3x weekly), trauma therapy (2x weekly), acupuncture, reiki, bio-resonance, IV detox protocols, personalised nutrition, gourmet meals, yoga and mindfulness, guided nature walks, excursions, and four virtual follow-up sessions post-discharge.
The Platinum Package includes everything in the Gold Package, plus a 3–5 bedroom exclusive villa, private butler, personal resident case manager, VIP airport transfers (limousine or helicopter), private jet transfer, genetic profile testing, MRI and advanced diagnostics, additional therapy sessions, equine-assisted therapy, somatic therapy, advanced healing modalities, and unlimited virtual follow-up sessions over four weeks.
Platinum Package pricing is provided on application, as it is customised to each guest’s requirements. Please contact us for a confidential proposal.
The Gold Package at €70,000 per week is all-inclusive of the listed services. Any additional specialist referrals, external medical procedures, or bespoke excursions outside the standard programme would be discussed and agreed with you in advance.
Practical Information
Most nationalities can enter Mauritius visa-free for up to 90 days. We recommend checking the current entry requirements with the Mauritius Embassy in your country or visiting the Mauritius Government website. We are happy to provide an invitation letter if required.
Lightweight, comfortable clothing suitable for a tropical climate is recommended. We provide all toiletries, robes, and essentials. You may wish to bring personal items of comfort. A detailed packing guidance note is provided upon confirmation of your stay.
Programmes are conducted in English and French. Our team includes multilingual therapists and we can accommodate other languages on request.
Mauritius enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round. Temperatures range from approximately 22°C to 30°C. The island is a beautiful and restorative environment in every season.
Aftercare
Your care does not end when you leave the island. Every guest receives a structured discharge plan and aftercare guidance. The Gold Package includes four virtual follow-up sessions post-discharge; the Platinum Package includes unlimited sessions over four weeks.
Yes. We consider LARA to be a lifelong wellness partner for our guests. Former guests receive priority booking and continuity of care with the same clinical team.
